When you read the gospel of
Mark, you quickly discover the focus is on the work and
ministry of Jesus Christ. Personal details about Jesus' life
are kept to a minimum. You don't find a lengthy explanation
of His birth. You don't read a detailed chronology of
His family. There aren't even that many teaching
discourses. The bulk of the gospel of Mark is an account of
the outreach and ministering of our Savior. Indeed
Jesus didn't just preach, He practiced what he preached. |
