Our Pastoral Leadership

In his first letter, the Apostle Peter writes, "So I exhort the elders among you...shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight."  The following men have been set aside by Crystal Valley Baptist Church as biblical pastors, and assigned the responsibility of teaching the word of God and caring for the spiritual needs of the congregation.

Paul Loyd - Senior Pastor

Paul was installed as the senior pastor of Crystal Valley Baptist in March, 2007. As the primary teaching pastor, Paul is responsible for leading the congregation into a deeper understanding of the Bible through expositional preaching.  His education includes a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Education from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas and is currently pursuing his Master of Divinity (M.Div) through Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Forth Worth, Texas. Paul and his wife Andrea have two children, Allie and Andrew. The Loyds reside in North Little Rock, Arkansas.

Tim Kinnard - Lay Pastor

Tim joined the staff of Crystal Valley Baptist Church on Easter Sunday 2005, and served for three years as Student Director until October 2008.  He then served one year as Associate Pastor until October 2009 when he transitioned into the role of a non-compensated lay pastor ("elder").  Tim's responsibilities include serving the church in an administrative capacity, as well sharing the privileges of teaching and preaching.  His education includes a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in biblical studies from Central Baptist College in Conway, Arkansas.  Tim and his wife Amy have one child, Elijah and a second on the way.  The Kinnards reside in Maumelle, Arkansas.

Tim Allen - Lay Pastor

For four years Tim served as an Undershepherd at Crystal Valley Baptist Church and diligently pursued confirmation and hands-on training from his pastors for a future in ministry.  He was confirmed and ordained by the church for the role of Lay Pastor ("elder") on his 1st wedding anniversary in December, 2009.  Tim is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Leadership and Ministry at Central Baptist College in Conway, Arkansas.  Tim and his wife Jamie reside in Maumelle, Arkansas.

Our Undershepherds

One of the great duties of biblical church leadership is to diligently and humbly prepare to one day be replaced (2 Timothy 2:2).  At Crystal Valley Baptist, our pastors are committed to identifying the call to ministry, as well as cultivating those gifts associated with the call to ministry in the next generation.  Crystal Valley Baptist Church has been given the privilege of ministering with, or formerly ministering with, the following men:

Stephen Bean

Stephen joined Crystal Valley Baptist Church in the Fall 0f 2007.  He is a student of Moody Bible Institute pursuing a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in biblical studies.  After joining the church, Stephen was quickly recognized as possessing potential gifts pertinent to pastoral ministry.  He was soon invited to serve as an Undershepherd for the pastors and is receiving hands-on training as he waits for confirmation from the church of his true call to ministry.  Stephen resides in Little Rock, Arkansas.
