In his first letter the apostle Peter writes, "So I exhort the elders among you...shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight."  The pastors of Crystal Valley Baptist Church seek to provide care for the community of believers according to Scriptural mandate.  They seek to "set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity" (1 Timothy 4:12).  Each of these men believes he is called by God to lead in this local church and is committed to the sound teaching of God's word.
 

Paul Loyd, Senior Pastor of Teaching and Administration
 

  Paul was installed as the senior pastor of Crystal Valley Baptist in March, 2007.  As the primary teaching pastor, Paul is responsible for leading the congregation into a deeper understanding of the Bible through expositional preaching.  His education includes a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Education from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas and is currently pursuing his Master of Divinity (M.Div) through Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Forth Worth, Texas.  Paul and his wife Andrea have two children, Allie and Andrew.
The Loyds reside in North Little Rock, Arkansas.

Tim Kinnard, Associate Pastor of Teaching and Administration
 

Tim joined the staff of Crystal Valley Baptist Church on Easter Sunday in 2005.  By the end of his first year at the church, after 10 months of interim-style service, he accepted the position of Associate Pastor.  His responsibilities include directing and developing a productive discipleship program among church members as well as overseeing all levels of student ministry at the church.  His education includes a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in biblical studies from Central Baptist College in Conway, Arkansas and is currently pursuing his Master of Divinity (M.Div) through Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.  Tim and his wife Amy have one child, Elijah.
The Kinnards reside in Maumelle, Arkansas.

One of the great duties of biblical church leadership is to diligently and humbly prepare to one day be replaced (2 Timothy 2:2).  At Crystal Valley Baptist Church, our pastors are committed to identifying the call to ministry, as well as cultivating those gifts associated with the call to ministry, in the next generation.
